Vision Vlottenburg aftercare group makes knitting the thing to do

A group of Grade 3 learners are being taught how to knit by the Vision Vlottenburg aftercare team, with the aim of passing on arts and crafts skills to help in their personal development.

The 20 Grade R3 students have been learning how to knit on Friday afternoons since mid-2017 and are currently making a blanket. The longer the activity has been going on, the more learners have joined in as they witness the progress being made.

Other pastimes offered at the Vlottenburg primary school include group games and learning computer skills.
