Vision Afrika Grade 10 Smurf day

On the 4th of October, the Grade 10 Vision K and Vision V spent a morning walking through the historical town of Stellenbosch familiarizing themselves with some of the greatest historical architecture that South Africa has to offer.

Stellenbosch was founded in 1679 by the Governor of the Cape Colony, Simon van der Stel, who named it after himself — Stellenbosch means “(van der) Stel’s forest”. Stellenbosch is also one of the oldest towns in South Africa. We walked to the Eikestad Mall to watch a movie – it was an unusually blue Tuesday and laughs and smiles filled the cinema with blue fever. Yes – you may have guessed by now- we watched Smurfs the Movie!

Everyone enjoyed the movie and we had a great morning in Stellenbosch.
