Picnic Update

Mother Nature did not want to collaborate with us on last weekend’s Sunset Picnic. After much deliberation, we decided it would be best to avoid the rains and postpone the fundraising celebration until the new year.

Vision K and Vision V, as well as the Grade 11 drama group, had worked so hard on their performances that we went ahead with the entertainment part anyway. Hundreds of members of the Kayamandi community gathered at AmaZink on Sunday afternoon to see dance, music, poetry and drumming. Cake and Coke, donated by special sponsors, ensured that everyone went home filled with sugared excitement. Our next newsletter, coming in mid-November, will include a detailed report of this day.

Thanks to all the Vision K and V youth for working so hard to impress. Your talented routines blew us all away!
