The most significant thing that I took away from the programme is that I am the biggest obstacle to making my own dreams become reality, but I am also the only person who can achieve them. This lesson was important because it showed me that I need to deal with my own attitudes and the way I look at things before anything else.
There were definitely times when I felt like giving up on my dreams, but Vision AfriKa gave me the necessary resources to help make sound decisions and think critically about my future. This mindset helped me enter and win a competition for young entrepreneurs during my first year of marketing studies.
Vision AfriKa, you found me when I was just a baby bursting with potential that some people failed to see. 8 December 2015 is marked as the greatest day of my life yet. On this day I was acknowledged by Stellenbosch University as having completed my honours' degree in BSc Dietetics ... so I am now a qualified dietitian.
Vision AfriKa structures its programmes around the best interests of students in order to help them develop both personally and academically ... to unlock their potential and achieve their goals. They also taught me that individual success can, and should, go hand-in-hand with the successful development of the wider community.

Who would have thought that today I would be at University doing my diploma in Engineering? Vision AfriKa encouraged me to study hard so that I can be able to change the community I live in and ultimately the world. I have become independent through various skills I have gained at Vision AfriKa that helped boost my self-confidence.
