Nursery class celebrates new spring season

Learners in Vision AfriKa’s nursery class celebrated the first day of spring by dressing up in bright colours and learning all about the new season.

On the morning of Friday 1 September, they discussed the weather and what happens in nature at this time of year with their teacher. They found out that new leaves are starting to appear on the trees and that flowers are starting to grow again now that the rainy winter season is over.

The students were also introduced to lots of different kinds of spring flowers such as daisies and roses so they could find out what they look like and talk about their favourites. They also learned about bees and butterflies, their lifecycles and the benefits that these insects bring.

The learners ended the session by colouring in pictures of different spring flowers.
