Gr. 11 Outing to Cape Town

The Gr. 11’s went on an exciting outing to the Mother City! In groups of five, they had to find places marked on their maps (and take pictures of themselves to prove it) in an impromptu Amazing Race. They also found out more about careers in the city by interviewing many people about their jobs. After a hearty meal of KFC and some time to rest their tired legs, the perfect day was ended with a drama production at the Artscape Theatre. The show, CA 12-6, is based on the stories of 6 characters in the hours between midnight and 6am. Although some parts of the show was rather shocking, the VK’s were appreciative of the lessons learned from these lesser-told stories, and of the honesty with which the stories were told.
