2012 Camp

Vision AfriKa Grade 10 Camp

The year started off with a bang! The grade 10’s had their first camp in February. Much time was spent in the pool as temperatures exceeded 37 °C. Relationships were forged and a good measure of team rivalry was experienced as the groups worked together towards reaching goals and earning rewards.

Many fears were faced and overcome as the outdoor obstacle courses and other teamwork activities challenged even the boldest of learners. Each activity was debriefed to apply in their life contexts. The experience was very positive and unity and momentum was built over the weekend. The grade 10 year promises to be a full and adventurous year filled with dedication and hard work as all learners are keen to take responsibility for their own lives. This will enable them to reach their dreams through setting targets over the next three years as they work their way through the last stretch of schooling.

The new Vision K and Vision V groups are filled with many promising learners with abounding potential. However watching them portray their life challenges in the concert held on the Saturday it is evident that the obstacles they face are massive and real but not impossible to overcome. There is a real expectation with these two grade 10 groups and the year promises to be very exciting and full of energy, learning and growing. Watch this space…
